i really didnt understand this lesson
The domino theory was the idea that if one country in an region turned communist, neighboring countries would turn communist, too. As a funny example, let's say that Canada becomes communist. That would mean the US could be next, like a domino. So, based on that, I'd go with (A) as the right answer. The Soviets were already communist. Eastern Europe was right next door, and after they had liberated them in WW2, fell under their shadow and became communist. The other answers don't make much sense. Eastern Europe didn't form a bloc to stop Soviet rule -- they became supporters of the Soviets as buffers against Western Europe. Eastern Europe also didn't bring communism to the Soviets. It was the other way around. And the Soviets didn't fall to communism after Eastern European nations adopted it. If anything, it was the other way around. The Soviets were the ringleaders.
