How do I find the volume of a disk in a cone? http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=hwh1s9&s=8#.Ux_nnfldVqU

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

we can find the volume of disk that way, reading the question again... looks like the question is asking us to setup integral for volume of big cone only

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

look \(\Delta x\) is the thickness of slice for volume element

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. ill clean up my mess, lol. please take over ^_^

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

noo, plz continue...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not sure how to do it if not the way i pulled out my pocket

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just going to put this out there, the question asks for equation for the volume of a disk, the equation for the total volume of all disks (which will be an integral). does that help at all?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yup
