Why the world is so round? :|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow Feynman is answering this :O :O .. i gotta see what it is!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YoLo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A sphere is the geometric minimum for gravitational potential energy. The earth isn't actually a very good sphere though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O_O please tell us a formula to convert the earth into a square or cube

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just like surface tension (the pull of the water molecules) keeps the rain drop spherical , gravity keeps the planets in spherical shape :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A cubical planet would deform due to its own weight into a sphere naturally.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you want an interesting planet, a torus would be much cooler anyway.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cuz ur head is round

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cooooooooooooool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur head is round

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can I get farting beans?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup...u get in ur head

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"due to its own weight into a sphere naturally" u mean MASS..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going to try to save myself there using the fact that weight is force and it is actually the force causing it to deform.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mass = monkey^2 * cube root (whale)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But yeah its an effect of its mass.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha :P.. nice save.. but an objects weight is only defined in an external gravitational field.. i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean mass effect 2????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no fart eefcet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome then poooop fart it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is getting weird.. i am a gonna leave!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d --- (Poop fart)^2 * Monkeys = 0 dy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bacon * Bacon = Bacon^2
