We're concerned about our members being exposed to potential profanity and language. We see plenty of it in the chat so we don't want to hear any of it either.

It still doesn't seem like a good idea, anyone could join and it wouldn't be safe. There are no censors and you can't moderate a video call. Rules could be bypassed easily and there would be no limit even with the CoC. Suspending whoever does any of that still wouldn't fix anything you get exposed to.

A strong point of OpenStudy is anonymity. A whole lot of BS can happen when people start seeing other people; especially with so many kids still insecure and conscious about themselves and so on.
Then someone is going to scream cyber bullying and pedophilia.

It's possible but I doubt it would even be considered. This has been discussed before and always ends up in rejection. This is why we banned Tiny Chat links.

Even if everyone knows who they are, that doesn't prevent them from anonymously joining video calls and exposing others to profanity and other inappropriate content.

We can't trust most of our members here. If you want to video chat, direct yourself to another website or digital product. We are OpenStudy, we promote studying and learning, not socializing. It simply won't happen, we've been sure of that for a while now.
