Can someone Please help? I have been stuck on this problem for over a week now and I am unable to figure it out A pipe needs to run from a water main, tangent to a circular fish pond. On a coordinate plane, construct the circular fishpond, the point to represent the location of the water main connection, and all other pieces needed to construct the tangent pipe. Submit your graph. You may do this by hand, using a compass and straight edge, or by using GeoGebra.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

do u have geogebra ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good, draw a circle and a point

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

and construct a tangent from that point to some point on circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does the point need to be on the circle? or in it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1394630389422:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that correct?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

not quite

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

before even contructing the tangent, first draw below : 1) circle (fish pon) 2) point (water main)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

|dw:1394630505707:dw|

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

next, construct a tangent from "water main" to the circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

nope, tangent needs to be drawn from "water main"
