Anyone good with Anne Frank? I have a question!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I read the book a little while ago. I'll see if I can help you if you want. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! Which phrase best describes Peter Van Daan? A. noble and brave B. cautious and timid C. honest yet shy about his thoughts D. childish but driven to learn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's B, but i'm not completely sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, he wasn't very talkative, and I think he was pretty brave sometimes, even though he was secluded, and didn't talk much, so I'm not too sure. He obeyed and did what he was told (like sleeping upstairs when there were rats up there) but he didn't do much talking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! I have one more! Which character or characters receive the least kind treatment from Anne as she records events from her perspective? A. Peter, because Anne is unsure whether she loves him B. Mrs. Van Daan and Mr. Dussel, because they often clash with Anne C. Margot, because she and Anne must share many things D. Mr. Frank, because he forbids Anne from doing as she pleases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, i think this one is B because I remember that her and her mom always had different point of view on things than Anne did. And I remember that Mr. Dussel didn't like her that much.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much! I appreciate the help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome! :)

@HMT I have another one for you! Sorry if I'm being annoying, I really want to pass this test! Which patterns of behavior cause many of the fights between Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan? A. She believes he can protect her, but he thinks that they will be caught. B. She dotes on their son, but he considers their son childish. C. She believes that he is hoarding food, while he thinks that she eats too much. D. She is full of petty complaints, and he is intolerant of her grumbling.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's D, since she complained about everything, the food, the place they slept, everything. I'd be intolerant too if I heard that all the time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree, I think it's D too. And that's ok, you're not annoying me, i would want to pass too! :)
