a circle has a diameter of 10 feet. What is the area of the circle? Leave answers in terms of π.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

diameter = radius times 2 So if diameter is 10, then radius is 5. the formula for the area of the circle is \(\color{blue}{ A~=~π~r~^2}\) plug in your radius and solve \(\color{blue}{ A~=~π~(5)~^2}\) \(\color{blue}{ A~=~π~25}\) \(\color{blue}{ A~=~25π}\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

There you go \(\color{black}{ :)}\)
