Could someone please help me? I'm a little suck(I don't want the answer) The surface area of a triangular pyramid is 375.2 m2. What would change if the surface area were measured in square centimeters
@31356 could you help? :) I don't understand :(
Sure.. :D
THXX!!! :D
My pleasure :D
Answer choices provided?
yes one min..,
The surface area of a triangular pyramid is 375.2 m2. What would change if the surface area were measured in square centimeters? A. The surface area of the pyramid would decrease. B. The surface area of the pyramid would increase. C. The surface area of the pyramid would stay the same, but the number representing the surface area would decrease. D. The surface area of the pyramid would stay the same, but the number representing the surface area would increase. that's the full question
Think about it this way: If I measure an area of land as being 100 ft^2 in area, and I then choose to convert it into inches, what changes? Does the actual land size change?
Good question :D
What do you think @RebeccaPink6398 ?
umm....I think no the land would never changer just the number would increase..:D
We are converting the unit of meters to centimeter. If we know that 1 meter = 100 centimeters then we have to know that multiplying by 100 will increase the number. The surface will stay the same, but it will increase when converted to square centimeters.
...did I do it right?
Look at my explanation.
sorry I just saw it after I posted my question
That's okay :D
Thanks for the medal :D
So the answer is.........
Hope that helped! :D
Anymore questions?
yes one min....
So the answer is D. :D
yes I got that :)...and what is a cubit meter?
The volume of a cube is 512 cm3. What would change if the volume of the cube were measured in cubic meters? A. The volume of the prism would decrease. B. The volume of the prism would increase. C. The number of cubic units would increase. D. The number of cubic units would decrease
The cubic metre (International spelling as used by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures; SI symbol: m3) or cubic meter (American spelling) is the SI derived unit of volume. It is the volume of a cube with edges one metre in length.
.. ohhh myyyy.....
no offence but I have no clue what that means... lol :D
Or you can search it up, for a better definition. I copied and pasted if you didn't mind?
lol ok :)
D ) The number of cubic units would decrease .
Anymore? :D
yes..ps UR AWESOME!~ The rectangular prism shown has a volume of 140 m3. This prism is enlarged using a scale factor of 2. What is the volume of the enlarged prism? A. 280 m3 B. 560 m3 C. 1120 m3 D. 1260 m3
(ohh and sorry for the double spacing between the a,b,c and d. :D lol
That's okay :D
I thought the answer was A, bc 2x140=280 but then I saw "m3"
It's C) 1120 m3
Yea, I had to double check on that one too :D
lol..how did u get that? :D if you don't mind me asking..i don't get it.
Okay......
ohh!!! wait I get it ... thxx..lol took me a second
Yea :D Great observations!! :D
Anymore? :D
YES :D A prism has a surface area of 50 mm2. Which sentence describes the effect of measuring the surface area in square centimeters? A. The surface area stays the same, but the number representing the surface area increases. B. The surface area stays the same, but the number representing the surface area decreases. C. The surface area increases. D. The surface area decreases ~I think its B? :)
Think, are centimeters bigger or smaller than millimeters? Would you need more or less to cover the same area?
Good question! :D
ohh! oops..i feel so dumb..i kept thinking that the "mm" was meters..lol I think tha answer is A
Lol, an abbreviation for millimeters is mm. That's okay, everyone messes up :D
lol :D
Yes, correct! :D Great observations
THX!
My pleasure :D
Anymore, lol :D
Is this for homework or some online assignments? Just curious. :D
yes hold on..online :)
Oh okay, cool :D So for, it's correct, right? :D
awe :( I didn't "master it" that means I have to have 80% or more to move on to next lesson. I got 2 wrong.
A prism has a surface area of 50 mm2. Which sentence describes the effect of measuring the surface area in square centimeters it was B. :(
Oh, I think that was me? Sorry :(
lol like you said every one messes up..but u rarely do lol :D
I was thinking on another question. I am so sorry, usually I not like this.
Lol @RebeccaPink6398, you are right! :D
