What is an example of a composite figure in your home or community? How would you decompose it to find the area? Can you think of another reason that it would be helpful to decompose these figures in addition to making it easier to find the area of the figure?

Did you have any ideas on this? Which part were you most unsure about?

The one example for a composite figure that comes to my mind (but may or may not be in your community) is the neat looking round-top windows |dw:1399834444264:dw| A use for decomposing the figure would just be assembly purposes, the pieces would neatly fit together and be taken apart.
