but it belongs in the history section! The Spanish-American war was over a century later. Slave owners in the American south were unhappy about the revolution. The fact that you're asking the question indicates that it did have an impact on the history.

Bummer. Nevertheless, history questions belong in the history section, and the moderators will tell you that. You can always tag someone who has helped you with history problems and hope that they turn up. Or, and this might be kind of a radical idea, you could read a history book :-)
However, if you read my response carefully, you should be able to figure out the answer.
