OpenStudy (1645323):

in a function the Xs can't repeat but the Y's can in a Input output T-Chart Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in a function, one x value can only have one y value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x values can repeat but the y value must be the same, try the vertical line test if its a graph by drawing a line straight down if it passes the graph more then once it is not a function

OpenStudy (1645323):

so in a t-chart this would be considered a function? domains are : 3,2,1,0,-1 and the ranges are 15,11,7,3,-1. So my input and output for the first line would be (3,15).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3,15), (2,11), (1,7), (0,3), and (-1,-1) so yes that is a function because none of the values would break the verticle like test

OpenStudy (1645323):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

youre welcome hope this was helpful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just remember that there cannot be for instance a (3,5) and a (3,2) because then the vertical line would pass through the function twice which would make it not a function so every x value can only have one y value
