What were the causes of the atomic bombing

Well the Atomic bomb was being developed in both the U.S. and Germany during WWII, but the U.S. completed theirs first. President Truman decided to drop the Atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki for a few reasons. One, he wanted to end the war quickly, the war in Europe had already ended weeks earlier when Germany surrendered. Two, Truman wanted to persuade Japan to surrender with losing the least amount of men possible. Three, he also wanted to send a warning to the U.S.S.R. and it's communist regime, he wanted to scare and intimidate them with how much power the U.S. had. One of the cause first one is that Japan wouldn't surrender during the war. and one controversy reason about the 2nd atom bomb is that USA just wanted to show off to Russia. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. We beat them all the way back across the pacific. They would not surrender. We would have lost a million men invading the Japanese mainland. So we dropped the atomic bomb. They still didn't surrender so we dropped another one. Finally they figured it out.
