if i see my reflection from a mirror its backwards .... why doesnt the reflection of sound come back backwards?

Sound does not have a left and a right, its a line of soundwaves.
alot like waves on a beach flowing back to the ocean. It goes straight forward and straight back.

hmm, ive never seen a wave reflect off the beach .... maybe a tidal wave, but that tends more to recede then reflect
