How to find Axis of Symmetry and Vertex for: y=-6x^2-36x+7 AND y=3x^2+2x-5 Please Help :(

OpenStudy (btaylor):

In a quadratic with equation \(y=ax^2+bx+c\), the x-coordinate of the vertex is \(\frac{-b}{2a}\). This is also the axis of symmetry. Then, plug this x-value into the equation and you will find the y-value of the vertex. \
