What is the equation for a circle with radius = 9, and center located at ( -8, 12)?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

The standard equation of the CIRCLE is: \[(x-x1)^2 + (y-y1)^2 = r^2\] Where \(r\) is the radius of the circle and, \((x_1,y_1)\) is the centre of the circle. Just plug in the values here and you'll get the equation of the circle in \(x ~~and~~y\) Understood? :)
