Okay so I have to choose one of the following prompts and write a 5 paragraph essay on it and I need some help. 1. Who is most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Consider whether Fate, the families, the Friar, Romeo and Juliet, or any other characters from the play are most responsible.

2. If a director must cut scenes from Romeo and Juliet for performance, which scenes could be removed? How would their absence affect the play as a whole?

3. In Act III, scene 1, Romeo, after slaying Tybalt, cries, “I am fortune’s fool.” He and Juliet often blame fate for their misfortune, but some would say that the choices they made caused their grief and eventually their deaths. Do you see Romeo and Juliet as victims of fate or as victims of having made bad decisions?

4. Some people would argue that Shakespeare’s plays are no longer relevant; the plays no longer connect with people living in the 21st century. Write a persuasive essay stating whether The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is relevant today.

5. There are many minor characters in the play, such as the Nurse, Friar Lawrence, Mercutio, and Tybalt. Which of these or other minor characters were most important to the development of the story?

6. There are many themes woven throughout the play Romeo & Juliet. Write a persuasive essay defending why _________ is the theme of the play. (Hint: it may be interesting to explore one of the minor themes).

I don't care which prompt you choose or whatever, but could you give me like an outline or some ideas for whichever one you choose. I want to make this really good and I've been putting it off for forever. I need an introduction paragraph with a hook, context, bridge, and thesis statement, 3 main reason paragraphs, and a conclusion. I have to add relevent quotes from the play to support each reason, and use transition phrases into each paragraph. I'm not asking you to write my paper for me but I need help with the outline...

This is a hard one. I would say Romeo & Juliet played a role in their own deaths because it was a Forbidden Love. At the same time, i blame the families because they put their own pride and feud against one another before their children/heirs.

Who were you thinking should be blamed, out of the two i mentioned?

I think their families. You can't really control who you love so I wouldn't blame it on Romeo and Juliet.
