and it should actually be 3+- sqrt(41)/(2*-4)
so 3+- sqrt(41)/-8 hence -(3+- sqrt(41)/8)

Haha its a quadratic equation, consider yourself lucky you didnt have negative roots to work with ;)
When you take sqrt of 41, it will be in decimal for it isnt a perfect square. so naturally :)
