Help! I'm doing this assignment for my english class and I chose the second option. For number it asks me "Write the counterclaim that you will refute in your argument essay". I don't understand the question
I'll help u if u can help me
What do you need help with @gamer83
okay , what subject is it on?
english but none of that matters until AFTER i help u out
ok
ok heres what I mean you need to write an essay stating that the narrarator must provide more eveidence before stating a claim no matter how much she knows her daughter
No I have to choose one of those to write about in my argument essay. I'm asking you what to put for counterclaim ? Because I'm don't know wha tit means. What to write?
that was an example I showed you.
I chose the topic "Can a PSA help reduce the number of distract driving incidents?" I have to write a claim to present in my argument essay and a counterclaim that will refute in my argument essay. Understand me?
So for the claim , am I writing a thesis statement related to the argument I chose?
one second . I posted the wrong pictures.
make sense
@gamer83 these are the questions
ok
ok heres my idea of what u could do
these are examples and no it's not a book. It was a text. But the point is I don't have to write about the text. I chose the second option.
Okay
so what would your beggining be you choose the second option but the entire essay depends on if you say yes or no to it
I have to write the "claim" I will present in my argument which is about the psa one , the send one.
A thesis statement , stating my argument right ? idk
for example: Can a PSA help reduce the number of distracted driving accidents Yes people today understand the risk of driving distracted I believe they would listen and understand and this would reduce the number of distracted driving incidents. Or, No I don't think people would listen no one actually believes these problems would happen to them when people see car crashes and accidents they believe things like that don't happen to them everyone feels like that until it actually does affect them those could be your thesis statements, the beggining of your argument
and this an example of a counterclaim or claim?
both really see each of them works both ways one agrees and the other disagrees when i say choose one I mean you could write your own or use mine
both go against eachother so one could be claim the other counter claim whichever one suits you best
alright thank you. Tag me in yours now.
