How in the world do you put points into the standard form equation??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Equation for a line? y = mx + b point (x1,y1) is entered to make y1 = m x1 + b to find b if not known already.

OpenStudy (issy14):

you have 3 formulas, slope intercept described by douglas: y =mx+b, where m= slope and b = y-intercept. ( where the line crosses the y axis and the value of the x axis is 0). point slope: y-y1=m(x-x1). Where you will input your ordered pair or points ( x,y) in y1 and x1. And standard form : ax + by = c.
