I don't know this one/: Evaluate if x = 2 and y = –4. 2x ÷ y A. 1 B. 8 C. –1 D. –8

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

wherever you see an 'x' you replace it with 2 (because x = 2) same with y, replace all 'y's with -4 (since y = -4)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

2x ÷ y turns into 2(2) ÷ (-4) which equals what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1 I think

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you are correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay! Thank you :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
