Which of these is the correct way to rewrite this as a logarithm? x2 = 169 A)log2x = 169 B)logx169 = 2 C)log2169 = x D)logx2 = 169 I did this one myself but I am not too sure it is correct? Some help? :)

OpenStudy (ankit042):

is it x^2? as in x raised to power 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yes I am sorry it didn't look like that when I typed it

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what answer did you get cayssaday ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My answer was A

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

keep in mind that \[\Large b^x = y\] converts to \[\Large \log_{b}(y) = x\] (or vice versa)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so for example, \[\Large 3^m = 10\] turns into \[\Large \log_{3}(10) = m\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh okay that makes perfect sense thank you so much

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
