Hey! Thanks for any help... Which method is correct?... :) (below in comments)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2^{4x}-7\times2^{3x} = 0\] \[-7 \times 2^{3x} = -2^{4x}\] \[-7 = -2^{4x}\div2^{3x}\] \[-7 = -2^{x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or... \[2^{4x}-7\times2^{3x}=0\] \[2^{3x}(2^{x}-7)=0\] \[2^{x}-7=0\div2^{3x}\] \[2^{x}-7 = 0\] \[2^{x}= 7\]

OpenStudy (primeralph):

It's the same thing.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Nonetheless, the second method is preferred.

great thanks! Yeah I knew they were the same just didn't know which method was preferred. :-)
