Let x passengers purchased of regular class and y passenger pur of sleeper coach. hence total number of psons x+y= 90 i.e. x= 90-y ----(1 and money 128 x + 284 y= 20,100 ----(2 Substituting x= 90-y in eq (2 we find: 128 (90-y) + 284 y= 20,100 11520 -128 y + 284 y = 20, 100 156 y= 20,100- 11520=8580 i.e. y= 8580/156 =55 i.e. y= 55 Substituting y= 55 in eq (1 we find x= 90-y = 90- 55 = 35 i.e. x= 35 Hence 35 passengers purchased of regular class and 55 passenger purchase of sleeper coach tickets. @vshiroky
