HELP! While in the United States visiting her grandmother, Kendra copied the famous family apple pie recipe. When she returns to England, she plans on making the same apple pie for her friends. To do this, Kendra needs to convert the flour from cups to grams. She knows that 0.5 cup of flour has a mass of 64 grams and 2 cups of flour has a mass of 256 grams. G(X)=128X B. Given this scenario, determine a reasonable domain for this function.

I guess domain for this function will be all positive integers. since she will put cups full and she will get the weight. I guess it will be difficult for everyone to know whether it is exactly half cup or nearly half cup. so she will have to take full cups for precise answer.

@hoblos PLEASE HELP

OpenStudy (hoblos):

is there any choices ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its more to it. Given this scenario, determine a reasonable domain for this function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say that X should be greater than or = to 0. It wouldn't make sense in a practical sense to use negative numbers with this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x would be all positive integers

OpenStudy (hoblos):

for the linear function G(X)=128X the domain is all real numbers but considering the scenario, x can't be negative , and logically it can't be any ratio since it's not easy to fill the cup with any value.. since they mentioned "half cup" i would go for positive multiples of 1/2
