They are basically asking you for the slope of the line. Pick two different points on the line, lets say (1,-1) and (2,-3) Now, to find the slope use formula (popularly know rise over run), rise is y axis and run is on the x axis. slope, m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) m=(-3--1)/(2-1) m=(-3+1)/(2-1) m=-2/1 m=-2
