According to the nebular hypothesis, how did most of the excess dust and gas in the solar system get removed? The gas and dust formed all the planets. The solar wind pushed the excess gas and dust away. The gas and dust were burned up during nuclear fusion. The outer planets pulled the excess dust and gas into orbit around them. @mathslover

Do you know what nebular hypothesis is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea its the most widely accepted model explaining the formation and evolution of the Solar System, which suggests that the Solar System formed from nebulous material in space

mathslover (mathslover):

So, what do you think the answer should be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its A?

mathslover (mathslover):

Well, I think that it is "A" too. But, you need to check out these links as I have not studied Nebular Hypothesis deeply : http://www.msnucleus.org/membership/html/k-6/uc/earth/5/uce5_1a.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebular_hypothesis
