disadvantages of naming data items

Data items being data types like, int, float, bool, ect.?
I would say that:
1. Leaves room for data being accessed by unauthorized person(s).
2. If not done properly, naming can be of no good use to the non-owner.
3. Limited to that specific language. i.e. English, Spanish
Honestly there are more advantages than disadvantages...
