Lyell's theory that geological processes occurred over time led Darwin to formulate which of these concepts?
"These?"
thats all it said
Okay...but I found these choices to the same question online. I think the answer would be C from these statements. a.)there is no correlation between the changes in earths formations and the changes in life on earth over millions of years. b.) while earth formations change over time, life on earth is more complex so it remains the same over millions of years. c.) if earth formations can change over time it is possible that even life on earth could change over millions of years
yea
Did you have those choices? Because those were the choices to the exact same question.
really wierd yeah i need an answer out of those
Yeah, it is weird. Well, I guess you could choose C if you agree.
yea i agree because the others when i searched them didnt bring up results
A race car driver loses his leg in an accident. Apply Lamarck's and Darwin's theories of evolution to predict whether this disability will be carried forward by his children. last question so i can go home
What do you think?
i dont know thats what im asking
nevermind i got it by guessing
Darwin's Theory: Changes acquired in one's life are not passed down to offspring. Lamarck's Theory: Basically opposite of Darwin's theory. Today, most scientists agree with Darwin's theory. Changes acquired during one's life are not passed down, but mutations in the offspring's DNA allow organisms to have changes. If the changes are favorable, then those changes are passed down (because they are in the DNA). A common example used to explain this is the giraffe neck extension. Lamarck said that when giraffes reached toward high branches, their necks grew longer, which is a change that is passed down. Darwin would disagree.
The answer should be pretty clear based on this.
what is the answer?
