Ty uses the function g(x) = 0.5 + 0.2(x - 1) to calculate the cost in dollars of using a calling card to make a long-distance call lasting x minutes. The variable x must be a whole number. Graph the function. Then determine the cost of a 10-minute call.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\large {g(x) =y= 0.5 + 0.2({\color{red}{ x}} - 1) \\ \quad \\ \begin{array}{llll} x\qquad &y\\ \hline\\ 1&0.5 + 0.2({\color{red}{ 1}} - 1)\implies 0.5 + 0.2(0)\implies 0.5\\ 2&0.5 + 0.2({\color{red}{ 2}} - 1)\implies 0.5 + 0.2(1)\implies 0.7\\ ...&... \end{array} }\) so... make a table... maybe to say x = 10
