Lincoln Middle School has a total of $200 to spend on notebooks and tablets for the school board meeting. Notebooks cost seven dollars each, and tablets cost five dollars each. If x represents the number of notebooks and y represents the number of tablets, write an inequality for this problem?

OpenStudy (hoblos):

we want to buy x notebooks for $7 each and y tablets for $5 each and the total price must be less or equal $200 thus 7x + 5y <= 200
