Which term refers to the military dictators who took power in Latin America after the Spanish were driven out? A. caudillos B. peninsulares C. creoles D. conquistadores @jigglypuff314
Hmm.. :/
caudillos: military strongmen who seized power in South America nations after their liberation from Spain. creoles: a person of Spanish descent born and raised in the Americas; socially, Creoles ranked beneath peninsulares, who were colonists born in Spain. conquistadores: "conqueror" in Spanish; Spanish soldiers who conquered native peoples in Latin America in early sixteen century. All this is written in my book! Can't find "peninsulares" though
I would guess caudillos then :P
