Design several clown faces using conic sections or parts of conic sections, such as circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas. Each face should convey a diff erent emotion such as anger, sadness, joy, or surprise. Sketch each face on graph paper. For each face, record the equations you used, including any domain or range restrictions.

@tmtlib can you help? :)

I suggest to use free SpeqMath application. Put there equtions, for example f(x)=x*x , then write plot(f(x)) and press F5. Next step is to change parameters in equations and see what it changes on the plot. For example, alter f(x)=x*x+5 and press F5 again. So the first step is to find equations for "circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas", put them into SpeqMath, changing their parameters and, pressing F5 to see what's going on. Who asked you to do that?

Here is small example.
