i cant open the python editor window...

Have you installed idle? what operating system are you running in? you can actually create python scripts in any text editor

At what point do you get stuck? Can you open python but not IDLE? Can you open IDLE but not a new file? If you haven't installed IDLE, that might make it easier to get to a text editor otherwise you can use something like notepad (or better notepad++) and write code that you save as a python file and tell python to run. IDLE is probably a better starting environment.
