If given f(x) = x + 4 and g(x) = –2x2 + 3x – 1, what is (f – g)(x)?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

(f - g)(x) means f(x) - g(x) plug in x+4 for f(x) and -2x^2+3x-1 for g(x) so x+4 -(-2x^2+3x-1) distribute and simplify :)

thank you!
