Hey Everyone. I would appreciate it if you could answer this for me! Write a rule to describe the transformation that is a reflection across the x-axis. (1 point) A. (x,y) → (x, -y) B. (x,y) → (-x, y) C. (x,y) → (-x, -y) D. (x,y) → (y, x)

Or a hint

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Woldn't only the x value change?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. The x value will remain same. The y-value will become -ve. So it would be A. |dw:1395062694094:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did the y-value change?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The magnitude of y-value will remain same. Only there will be a negative sign. You see reflecting the point along x-axis means that it is now below the x-axis, where y values are negative.

Oh, duh! Ok, thank you for your help!
