I Need Help Please? What is the inverse of a horizontal line? Another horizontal line A vertical line A dashed line A curved line
what an odd question ... id have to google it if anything
google doesnt even know ..
I think it would be a vertical line....not 100% sure on this one
that was my guess too, but without any context its ahrd to say
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Inversion.html but i got know idea if that pertains to this
Algebra 1
does your material define what it means to be the inverse of a line by chance? spose y = kx is some line, then the inverse is y = x/k
vertical line seems the best result to me regardless
In order to have an inverse, a function must be one-to-one. That is, it must pass a horizontal line test (ironic name, i know).. That is, a horizontal line can't cross the graph in more than one spot. I would say that a horizontal line is not invertible.
what about the answer choices ?
I'd go with vetrical. An inverse also has to be symmetric about the line y = x. Only a vertical line would meet that criteria.
thats what I guessed....but like I said, it was just a guess. You kinda cleared things up a little bit. thanks
no it does notr have material to define it
archangel...everybody seems to be going with vertical
but i chose vertical line but thanks to all can yall help me with this hard one please?
oops...spelled your name wrong..sorry arcangel
its ok but can yall help me please?
The amount of pancakes that left at the Easter Pancake Breakfast Sale is given by the function S(t) = 300(0.85)t where S(t) stands for the number of pancakes left and t stands for time in minutes. At the same time, more pancakes are being made at a rate of P(t) = 12t where t stands for time in minutes and P(t) stands for the number of pancakes being created. If the function S(t) and P(t) are added, what is the result? The number of pancakes that are available to sell at any given time The number of pancakes that have sold at any given time. The difference in the number of pancakes that have been created versus sold. The amount of money that has been made at the breakfast
