How would you divide (a 2n - a n - 6) / (a n + 8) ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

are those exponents? n, 2n

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if so, then its just longhand division like in the 4th grade

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if the remainder is 0, then we can assume that there is some product: (a^n + 8 ) (a^n + k) that 'foils' out to the numerator and compare parts

OpenStudy (amistre64):

but thats just an idea that works in some cases
