Every time I'm asked this riddle. I get it wrong 'cos the answer keeps changing. So I'll just give them all. Drinks water from a spring (found in the bed) or its a water bed. Eats dates (found on the calendar). Uses a key from the piano to unlock the door (then he's out).Or He can then sing accompanied by the piano til his voice is sore or (or smash his head against it, either way he'll get a sore). Now, using the saw cuts the bed into 2 halves. Re-unites the halves (to make a whole) against the wall. Jumps through the hole in the wall. And a getaway? Sings til his voice is hoarse, then rides it into the sunset.

he eats the " dates " on the calendar , gets water from the water bed and escapes with the piano key .
