Interesting little walk. however, it is hard for me to how you can be at the Eastern tip of the island and then proceed Southeast without wading in the ocean.

You are at the Northern most tip and you start South on a bearing of 180 degrees, you then turn West (right hand turn) on a bearing of 270 degrees (form a 90 degree turn), you then make a 180 degrees turn and proceed East on a bearing of 90 degrees to the Eastern tip. From that point where you proceed in sout eastern bearing (135 degrees) I am not clear how you can still be on the island lol.
