the length of a rectangle is 2 more than the width. the area is 80 feet. find the dimensions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

L+W2=80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you solv it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first divide w2 by 2 then 80 by 4 =40 which then leaves you with L=40 You just have to balance the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoops 80 by 2 i meant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those arent my answers though. I have A) L=10,W=8 B)L=20, W=4 C) L=12, W10 the answer is A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh whoops must have slipped up on that one.
