Example A: 2n + 3 = 13 Example B: n + 3 = 13 Which example is a one-step equation? How is solving a two-step equation like solving one-step equation? How is solving them different?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Example B is a one step equation because to isolate n you just need to subtract, however in example 2 you need to subtract 3 and divide both sides by 2 to isolate n. They're different because one requires one step, the other requires 2? o.0 one has an additional step.
