Where did President Lincoln and President Davis stand on states' rights and secession? What were their views about it?

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

One was the president of the US who worked to keep the states together. The other was President of the CS, a group of states that seceded from the US, claiming the rights of the states outweighed the rights of the nation. There's a lot of information to be inferred from that.
