Can any one help me with the upper limit of the speed that an proton can have as it passes the origin and still remain bound close to the origin is

I try to use energy equations to solve this, can anyone show me the equations? I have no clue how to set it up. Thanks

Hi! I would like to help if I can, but the question seems vague to me.. What does it mean by "bound close"? If that was known, then I guess it would imply the upper limit of the velocity. But I haven't seen this type of question before.
