I need to speak with some Moderators...I am given warnings and kicked out of chats because of having an opinion? The chat was arguing about same sex and I gave my opinions; not even offensive opinions even. If you want to take them as offensive get your brain checked...and then next thing I know it I get warnings saying it not "appropriate" for other users...some being young and I may "offend" ppl. I thought last time I checked this was a free modeled site....not a communist controlled site where I can't have a opinion and then I am labeled as offensive and not appropriate...wow

OpenStudy (j.f):

this site is so messed up. you give all the high moral rules or whatever but they are not even kept. I know from being on this site I have seen such perversion...you would think a mod would come and handle it but they never do. But when say something actually correct comes up they go crazy on it. Its crazy, and they pick sides! leaders don't pick sides in positions supposed to be not so. I would rate this site very low...pretty disturbing to see a perfect picture of out broke system in action. So much "correctness" in here...pitiful

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

LISTEN ! Taking about this type of topics is misleading. There are many people on openstudy that learn something but when they see such threads here in math, they also start talking about the posted thread and wasting their own time instead of doing their homework or helping others do their homework. Also, such topics often (if not always) lead to having people curse and say other inappropriate staff (that's somewhat topic-related). If you think this website is bad, it's your opinion and you have the right to have it, but I am sure you will recognize that it's not true. I have significantly improved mathematically and in other study fields, and so ave improved thousands of people; improving not only their knowledge but their skills to spread the knowledge i.e. to explain, to teach.

OpenStudy (j.f):

maybe so...but do you get what I mean! its so messed up. Its like giving you a shiny apple and then smacking the apple from your hands. I makes me so mad.

(This post really just represents my views and probably has a gargantuan amount of spelling errors. Don't quote me.) "The chat was arguing about same sex and I gave my opinions; not even offensive opinions even." "The chat was \(\textbf{arguing}\) about same sex and I gave my opinions; not even offensive opinions even." "The chat was \(\rightarrow \textbf{arguing}\leftarrow\) about same sex and I gave my opinions; not even offensive opinions even." Debating topics is fine in chat, most moderators are willing to let some things go, though there reaches a point where some debates or discussions are no longer allowed do to the excessive hate given towards each other or arguments started between users. There is a limit to everything. OpenStudy is a educational help site, not a debate forum. "not even offensive opinions even" That is your pure opinion, moderators try to keep this site towards children. (Around age 13.) The site is not free modelled rather, "I judge by my eyes and the law." Moderators usually make the choice to warm or ban, but they do so off the CoC and ToC not opinion, if they feel like you are be rude or a improper to other users they will warn or ban you. (And it goes, moderators were hand pick for a reason, they are thought to be responsible and respectable.) From what I see and have experienced the moderators don't chose sides, they simple just follow the laws, if the deem what you have said to be wrong you will be punished. If you think you shouldn't have been punished there is contact@openstudy.com for you. tl;dr Warnings aren't really anything much to fret about, so don't complain. Keep in mind that moderators try their best to be non-biased but they are only human. (Not sure about TuringTest, still not convinced he is human.) As well as Solomon words are true, some topics lead to plain hatred spewed so moderators just try to nip the bud before it gets out of hand.

Why do people even bother? Everybody needs to go home and have a pint.

OpenStudy (compassionate):
