government clerks, the congressmen and politicians who worked in the government most of them didn't participate in fighting in wars, so why would women be replaced if their jobs were kept as it is? I'm taking about the 19th century battlefield nurses-- were needed because men were fighting in the war and when they got injured, the nurses (women) were their for aid munitions plant workers--the women replaced their husbands whom are fighting in the war salespeople-yes, if there husbands were in the war or they gained job opportunities during wartime
