Consider the triangle ABC. Suppose that C=69 degrees, a=45 and b= 9 Carry your intermediate computations to at least four decimal places, and round your answers to the nearest tenth. List all solutions A= B= c=

OpenStudy (radar):

Use the Cosine rule (Law of Cosines) to solve for side c. Next use the Law of Sines to solve for Angle A Lastly sum angle A & C, then subtract the sum from180 getting angle B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so side c would be 42 @ radar

OpenStudy (radar):

They wanted the answer rounded to the nearest tenth. I got 42.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so a=99.7 b =11.4 @radar?

OpenStudy (radar):

a and b were given as 45 and 9, do you means A and B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, i meant A & B

OpenStudy (radar):

I worked out for B and got 11.4 degrees

OpenStudy (radar):

summing up the 69 and the 11.4 I got 80.4 subtracting this from180 I get 99.6 close to what you have, Did you use the Law of Sines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i rounded my 99.6 up. i see what i did wrong. thank you for helping me

OpenStudy (radar):

Good job @awesomeAries
