in the wedge shown, ABDC is a rectangle and EF is parallel to the base. The triangular planes form the same dihedral angle with the rectangle. Find the area of the midsection of the solid with base ABCD and also find the volume using prismatoid formula.
help pls,. :)
is there a picture involved in the problem?
yes wait i forgot to put it

@TechnicianExpert this is it the figure
well the area of the base or midsection should be 48in.
which is ABCD
but how?
can you guide me on how to do it?
well the area of the base is length*width mainly because it is a rectangle
but its not 48 in^2 coz the answer is 20 in ^2
which then all you do is multiply 12*4 and you get 48inches then to find the volume you 1/2*base*height which should be 1/2*12*6 and the answer for that should be 36
so how did you get that answer?
no in the back of my book the answer is tehre but i want to know how,.
you dont have to show your work do you?
its an assign so i need to @TechnicianExpert
well i would just do my best explaining it cause i wouldnt even an idea of how they have that answer....
okay tnx
