Well...I found four definitions [of rephrasing] that might help you: "rephrase and simplify: to restate something using other words, especially in order to make it simpler or shorter" "rephrased version: a rephrased, simplified, and usually shorter version of written or spoken material" "express (an idea or question) in an alternative way, esp. with the purpose of changing the detail or perspective of the original idea or question."
