State and explain the effect on the current when the radiation continues to have the same intensity but its frequency is higher.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same Intensity of radiation means number of photons emitted per unit time remains the same, which means in photoelctric effect, an electron absorbs a photon of energy and gets emitted, since the number of photons absorbed are the same, the flow of electrons will also remain the same leading to no effect in change in current, Higher frequency means greater amount of energy which would increase the max kinetic energy but not the current

I think the current goes down, because to have the same intensity with each photon having more energy there must be less photons emitted, and therefore less one-to-one interactions occur, with less photo electrons being emitted.

Yeah got that :) thanks
