Match the following terms and definitions. 1. breeding of individuals that have genes for two different characteristics 2. a grid system used to predict possible combinations of genes due to random fertilization 3. a condition in which both alleles are dominant 4. when more than two alternatives exist for a gene 5. a condition in which neither pair of alleles is dominant or recessive, so the traits blend in the phenotype incomplete dominance codominance multiple alleles dihybrid cross Punnett square
im pretty sure 2 is the last one... thats all i know though... :P
thnx:)
np
1. dihybrid cross 2. punnet square 3. codominance 4. multiple alleles 5. incomplete dominance
The thing about matching problems is to start with the ones you know. That way the pool of possible choices for ones you're not so sure about gets smaller. And the problem becomes easier. For example, the grid system used to determine genotypes of offspring is a Punnett square. Even if you had no idea about genetics, the word 'grid' kind of matches with the word 'square' so it would be a good guess. And you go from there.
thnx:)
